Lonzo Ball Drops New Track "Super Saiyan" After Bouncing Back in Game Against Suns

After his NBA debut—which was the opposite of going Super Saiyan—Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball silenced all the doubters in his very next game against the Phoenix Suns. A much more aggressive Lonzo led the Lakers to a 132-130 victory, scoring 29 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and dropping nine assists. If Ball just dished out one more assist, he would have been the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double.
As if this was all part of his illustrious plan, Ball shared a snippet of his latest track "Super Saiyan," and it's actually not that bad.
"I had to stunt on my haters, I had to show 'em who's boss," Ball raps. "I had to flex on my haters, diamonds, they dripping in sauce." No one knows when Lonzo recorded his latest song, but it feels like some fitting commentary after his underwhelming debut performance already led some over-eager sports analysts to question his future in the league.
None of the other notable names—Ben Simmons, Dennis Smith, Jr., and Markelle Fultz, to name a few—in this year's stacked NBA rookie class have a spotlight and target on their back quite like Lonzo. So when you're able to overcome adversity, you want to something more than just letting your game do the talking. You gotta drop a song like "Super Saiyan."
